Oh last Thursday was a maelstrom of technical difficulties...
So I'm holding my DS, right? And I turn around and start moving away from my desk, but little did I know the thing was plugged into its charger and jerked out of my hand; I watched in horror as it hit the desk and keyboard tray, ricocheted off the radiator, bounced off the trashcan and smacked against the floor. It was like watching a baby fall in Bullet Time, except the baby was square and made out of science and actually worth something.
Let me tell you right now: if it were a PSP, the thing would have shattered. Into one million pieces. It actually didn't break that much; it's still playable. Problem is the top screen--the backlight comes on but I'm not getting a picture. I can still play Animal Crossing since that barely uses the top screen, but stuff like Metroid is prettymuch not an option. But it still works, damnit, and the poor thing is such a trooper!
And by now you're probably wondering why this comic is hand-drawn. Okay, that was probably the first thing you thought upon seeing this. I know you.
So like eight minutes after mortally wounding my silver friend, I dropped my tablet pen and it stopped working. What. I've dropped it countless times, but, apparently, it managed to fall directly at the wrong angle and the nib chipped. I don't have to buy a whole new tablet, luckily, but I need to order new nibs now and that may take a while and art may be scarce for a while...crap.
So then I tried communicating with the public, and chose to do so by the art of song. I mean pencil drawings. So I found my Stone Age-era scanner, fumbled around in ancient drivers, got a new USB hub, and finally managed to scan something. Joy. Too bad my hand-drawn stuff is incredibly messy and blurry and those boxes are about as straight as Marth on New Year's eve. I went there.
And then they cancelled That 70's Show on the same day. It was almost too much to handle at once.
Sooooo yes. I don't know what I'm going to do for a while. Tablet parts may not come for a while; I suppose I've got to send my DS in to get repaired, and I can only hope my WiFi logs will come out unscathed.
Psst...if you wanted to, you could totally donate to the "Katie needs a new DS" fund. But you don't have to, I don't like asking for money. It's not like it directly benefits you. Honestly, don't do it if you can't afford it. I mean, if you want to give me your money, buy an overpriced shirt.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...i shouldn't laugh casue god knows that i do stuff like that all the time....but ANYWAY, hahahahahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...and I'm done now *walks away*

aaaaw, I feel your pain! I once did drop a silver square baby! Don't worry, the parents were gold mingers and mathemeticians, so they were cool with it.
