I always gave up because Link's steps never matched the step-steps.... but y'know how it's all dark when you first get there? I think it starts to light up around 27. Or 25. Something like that. I don't remember the exact number, but I'm going to take my guess at 84-112.

How true is that? I mean, after the first some, 50 steps, he would take an elevator that spontaneously materialized in the stone wall for Link to take to the top. Hmm, I think I tried hover boots to see if they were any faster, but it really didn't make any difference. I tried iron boots once...
